Pay Now Stay Later Deals You Need to Check Out

As Jakarta enters a transitional phase of its large-scale social restriction, starting this week, 80 shopping malls have reopened across DKI Jakarta. Some of them have implemented extra measures the likes of installing social distancing markers, touchless escalator buttons, and limiting number of visitors entering the establishment. Some museums in Jakarta have also started opening their doors to the public, including the National Gallery of Indonesia, Taman Prasasti Museum, the Maritime Museum, the Textile Museum and the Betawi Cultural Village, the Jakarta Post reports.

But it's probably a little hard for us to start thinking about future travel plans or getaways with different parts of the world, including Indonesia, just beginning to ease into their own versions of 'new normal', carefully balancing health precautions and a long list of other safety considerations.  The tourism and hospitality industry has been particularly hit hard by the COVID-19 outbreak. Some, have even been forced to close down as the entire world is forced to stay in.

But many of them has soldiered on and came up with an ingenious idea of a pay now stay later deals. So when the crisis subsides and you are finally ready to book, you can reap all the benefits. It's a win-win solution, really; you get to help our hotelier friends, and get great deals for future travels! Here we have rounded up the  'pay now stay later deals' in Jakarta, Bali, and Bandung for you to check out.

Speaking of Jakarta and Bandung, despite the delays caused by COVID-19, the government has decided to continue the construction of the Jakarta-Bandung High-speed train. In fact, the plan is to connect the track all the way to Surabaya, detik.com reports.

The trains will travel at 350 kilometers per hour, cutting the travel time between Jakarta and Bandung to 45 minutes, faster than around three hours on the existing train. Initially, the project was planned to finish and start operations in 2021, but will likely to be pushed back to further.

Last but not least, before I sign off, don't forget to check out our Instagram and to join our LIVE broadcasts for different 'takeovers', virtual tours, live cooking, and other fun stuff.

Coming next: catch our favorite mixologist @sip_sensei in action whipping up our favorite drinks so we can all learn a thing or two to help us get through the pandemic.

How about that for an early weekend? ;)
