Hello, Floods have hit several parts of Jakarta due to heavy rainfall that occurred on Monday. Jakarta residents, especially those living near the Ciliwung riverbanks, have been alerted by authorities to stay cautious in the next few weeks. The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has predicted that the rainy season will gradually begin at the end of October for most of Indonesia following the current transitional period from the dry season, and will peak around January or February of 2021. Despite opening its doors to domestic travelers, the Indonesian government has decided to impose stricter COVID-19 screening measures for visitors coming to Bali, following a recent surge of cases. Gatherings, including religious as well as tourism activities, will also be restricted for the next two weeks, as reported by tirto.id. You can also do your part in the efforts to contain and mitigate the pandemic by voluntarily testing yourself, especially if you think you've in close contact with a suspect COVID-19 patient. Check out this list of COVID-19 swab and rapid test services in Jakarta. Stuck at home (again)? All the reason to pick up that show that you left off 2 weeks ago, or, if you're like me and don't want to end up spending half an hour just scrolling through and deciding on what to watch: here is our picks on what to binge-watch this weekend. And if there's anything positive that comes out of this pandemic, it would be the fact that there are now more and more quality workshops and events that we can join from just about anywhere. For a more productive way to kill time, here is a list of webinar and online events you can join this month. Stay safe everyone!
